We must first create a layer from the background. To achieve this, simply right-click on the Background layer and select “Layer from the background,” giving it any name you like, and pressing OK. Use the options below by going to Menu > Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options. Blending Options are also accessible in two expedient ways. Double-clicking on the layer in your layers menu is the first and quickest approach to proceed. Another option is to select Blending Options by right-clicking the layer in your layers menu. Don’t forget to click “OK” in the Blending Options window once you have finished configuring all the settings below.

We can now begin creating our text effect. First, select a typing tool and change the font to Times New Yorker with an anti-aliasing Sharp setting of about 174 points. Now add your text wherever in the image’s middle. You may use any term, but “SCARY” will be used in this lesson. Uppercase letters only.

Go to Menu > Layer > Layer Style > Clear Layer Style now because we’ll be giving this layer a new style.
